I just learned this song yesterday morning, and wanted to make a video of it. The song is Home by Breaking Benjamin
Gaming

I’ve been playing games a whole lot since my last post on here. Mainly Red Dead Redemption and Lego Harry Potter. I have now completely done everything possible in Lego Harry Potter so I’m back with Red Dead.
Lego Harry is a great game, but is full of glitches right out of the box. I ran into one completely game breaking glitch that made me have to start over after playing for 20 hours on that save file. I got smart on the next one and back everything up as I went through it. Finally though I finished it all up. I’m not really complaining as it gave me a reason to play through all but the last 2 levels of this amazing game again. I had so much fun.
As for Red Dead Redemption it has completely restored my faith in the old west genre. The last old west cowboy game I played was called Mad Dog McCree, and it was years upon years ago. Red Dead Redemption is one of those games that once you pick you up don’t want to ever put it down. I love everything about the game. You get to have shootouts, hunt animals, go bounty hunting, be an outlaw if you want, and have showdowns! My favorite part though is that you get to lasso and break any wild horse you want. The game has preset “best” horses, but I don’t even care about them I just go with the ones I like the best. I love games where you get to ride a horse. It’s one reason I loved the newer Zelda games so much. Right now I have a pearl white color horse, and I actually think he is the one that is supposed to be the best in the game. I have my eyes set on another that I’ve found though. He’s solid bright white with the exception of the tips of his maine which are black. He’s a beautiful horse. I’m about half way through the game, but I’m itching to get out of act 2 and into act 3. You have special challenges to do, and I’ve done everything I can until act 3.
I was planning on putting up some more art, but I got so busy that I never did get the chance to draw anything else after that angel warrior picture. I was planning on doing some drawing the last two days, but I took the book I want to draw in to my mamas on the 4th and forgot it. Now she won’t bring it to me! You mean ol’ woman you! lol
It’s a good damn thing I love my mama so much.
Oh well that’s all for now.
New Angel Sketch
by Michael on Jun.25, 2010, under Art
This is the first time I really tried drawing with multiple pencil shades. I think it turned out well. This sketch depicts a warrior angel who has just landed and is ready for combat. The eyes were left clear to show power. This is the single best way to show that a character in a drawing is powerful.
This was actually finished yesterday, but I couldn’t get the time to get on my site here and post this. I am going to be trying to work on another sketch or two today sometime as well.
A Pheonix
by Michael on Jun.20, 2010, under Art
I’m working on this new sketch of a phoenix. I may also end up trying other angles of the mythical beast, but which ever one I pick in the end I am going use to make a larger digital painting. This is just the first rough sketch.
I just got a brand new pack of 12 graphite drawing pencils in different grades / shades. I can’t wait to really get down to work with them and bring out some nice pencil drawings. I used the lightest one for this so it is still pretty light. When I’m done the sketch should look a lot better and darker. I’m opting to do my favorite fire technique although it’s probably not as good as others. I love to draw fire by making shapes almost like jagged Ms. It works well in my mind, but a lot of people don’t understand how I do it or why. I guess I just like it that way. Oh well, that’s all for now.
Updated: I’ve just finished my second phase of the sketch. I’ve decided to go on and scan this one in to play with it on the computer. However, I’ve also decided that I can make one a lot better if I want.
Bored Sketching
by Michael on Jun.20, 2010, under Art
I was looking through one of my sketch books and found an unfinished stick figure basically. I decided to see what I could make of the stick figure and this is what I ended up with. It was just something I done quick, but I think it turned out pretty good. I have no name or other information about the character, and I doubt I come up with anything for him.
